here are some things i learned during my awesome trip to Bratislava, Slovakia this weekend: Tukaj je nekaj stvari, ki sem se učil med svoj awesome potovanje v Bratislavi, Slovaška ta vikend:
1) always leave ample time for traveling by train and bus to an airport; you never know how much traffic there might be or the weather conditions! 1) vedno pusti dovolj časa za potovanje z vlakom in avtobusom do letališča, nikoli ne veš, koliko prometa je lahko ali vremenske razmere!
2) try to buy a roundtrip train ticket especially if traveling through Milano Centrale because it is such a huge train station and you can save time if you already have a ticket ready 2), poskusite kupiti vozovnice roundtrip vlak še posebej, če potovanje skozi Milano Centrale, ker je tako ogromen železniška postaja, vi pa lahko prihranite čas, če že imate pripravljene vozovnice
3) bus #61 in Bratislava goes from the airport to the city center and tram #14 takes you to Patio Hostel (we learned this in a difficult fashion). 3) avtobus # 61 v Bratislavi gre od letališča do centra mesta in tramvaj # 14 vas popelje do Patio Hostel (mi učen to težko moda). a bus ticket costs 22 SKK, but you can get away with no ticket at all (all you rebels out there!) avtobusne vozovnice stroški 22 SKK, šele vi moči oditi brez vozovnice na vseh (vsi ti uporniki tam!)
4) Slovakia was formerly part of the USSR, so no commie jokes, please. 4) Slovaška je bila nekoč del Sovjetske zveze, tako da ni commie šale, prosim.

7) Slovakians, as well as pretty much any other people, don't like loud Americans who draw attention to themselves. 7) slovaški, kot tudi precej drugih ljudi, ne maram glasnih Američanov, ki opozori na sebe. therefore, try to blend in rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. traditional slovakian food consists of a lot of sausage, dumplings, and poppy seeds. tradicionalni slovaški živilo sestavlja veliko klobasa, cmoki, in makom. as well as weird combinations of these things. kakor tudi čudne kombinacije teh stvari. Vinea is a traditional drink… more like an aperatif which is delicious. Vinea je tradicionalno pijačo ... več kot aperatif, ki je okusno. oh and get a cheap sandwich from one of the 24-hr stands at like 3 am. oh in zaslužiti poceni sendvič iz ene od 24-hr znaša kot 3. SO good. SO dobro. 
9) i have heard that Americans smile way too much, but i really realized this in Slovakia. 9) i so slišali, da Američani nasmeh tako preveč, ampak jaz res spoznal to na Slovaškem. don't expect everyone to smile back! ne pričakujte, da vsakdo nasmeh nazaj! i think that's definitely a big cultural difference. Mislim, da je zagotovo velika kulturna razlika.
10) GO TO BRATISLAVA ! 10) GO TO BRATISLAVA! i loved the fact that it wasn't smothered in tourists Ljubil sem dejstvo, da je ni v smothered turistov
