Summer 2006. Verano de 2006. Rio de Janeiro. Río de Janeiro. This was my 1 ^st trip outside the United States ever. I stayed with a friend of a friend (at the time) named Adrianna, who turned out to be one of the sweetest people I know! During my visit, Adri was attending a university and had lots of really cool classmates from all over the world. The first time I’d met most of them was a night we’d decided to go to a place called ‘Cabaret’ (if I remember correctly). Since we didn’t want to wait, Ingunn, who is this very Norwegian girl (tall, blond, blue eyes), took it upon herself to go and do something about it. Apparently, beautiful women can get almost anything they want from men in Rio or, at least that night. Al parecer, la mujer hermosa puede conseguir casi cualquier cosa que quieren de los hombres en Río o, al menos esa noche. Once inside Cabaret, we make our way (naturally) to the bar. Una vez dentro de Cabaret, hacemos nuestro camino (por supuesto) a la barra. What I found interesting about the bar in Rio is that you don’t pay for anything at the bar. ¿Qué me pareció interesante sobre el bar en Río es que usted no paga nada en el bar. You get a card of some sort, and when you order drinks, the bartender takes your card, adds the drinks you ordered to it, and you pay for everything at the front door of the place before you leave for the night. Usted recibe una tarjeta de algún tipo, y cuando usted ordena bebidas, el camarero tiene su tarjeta, añade las bebidas que usted ordenó a él, y usted paga por todo en la puerta del lugar antes de salir por la noche.

About an hour into having a really great time, all the women in our group come and grab me and direct me to the main front wall of the club. Needless to say, my attention is longer in need of any outside help to be diverted forward! She’s not wearing very much at all, but enough to drive you imagination right out of its reason. Now, as a silly American who isn’t used to certain things happening in nightclubs, I was pretty taken aback! Ahora, como un tonto de América que no se utiliza para ciertas cosas que suceden en las discotecas, yo estaba muy sorprendido! She takes off her bra and continues dancing then, her panties. Ella se quita su sujetador y sigue bailando entonces, sus bragas. She was extremely naked! Ella es muy simple! All kinds of crazy unbelievable nudity was happening about 10 feet away from me. Todo tipo de locura increíble desnudez que estaba sucediendo alrededor de 10 pies de distancia de mí. I must have had the ‘OMG’ look on my face because all the girls in our group were laughing at me! Debo haber tenido la "OMG" ver en mi cara porque todas las chicas de nuestro grupo se ríen de mí!

(Just for the record, ladies, there was a pretty beefed up muscular guy on the stage doing the EXACT same thing as this woman. I only noticed out of my peripheral vision?? but, just to be fair??) (Sólo para que conste en acta, señoras, hubo una bonita refuercen muscular chico en el escenario haciendo exactamente la misma cosa como esta mujer. Notado yo sólo fuera de mi visión periférica? Pero, sólo para ser justo?)

The whole show must have lasted only five minutes, but that five minutes is burned into my memory as the first time I??d witnessed a nightclub and a strip club in the same building. Todo el espectáculo debe haber durado sólo cinco minutos, pero que cinco minutos se quema en mi memoria como la primera vez que hago? D sido testigo de una discoteca y un club de strip en el mismo edificio. Fun night! Diversión de noche!
