If you are at school or at work and can’t seem to get your instant messaging service to work, try Meebo. It’s a free and useful way to get around those pesky Internet filters. You don’t have to sign up - you just use your existing AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or Google Chat username and password.
Now you’ve got to trust the Meebo folks not share your data, and they say they are committed to protecting your privacy. I’ve gotten some feedback and looked into it - and I’ve already used their service and if you have to, go for it.
Another nice perk - all of the connections are encrypted - so if the IT department is reading your IMs as they travel along the network, all they’ll see is garbled junk. Pretty cool.
The Meebo site is translated into every language you can think of for you international readers
Thanks Fredo!
