Gilbert Scores For Schools Recap

May 8, 2007 by Anil P.

Although Gilbert wasn’t able to play in the final games of the season due to injury, he was still able to raise $210,000 dollars through his Scores for Schools program. On top of that Gilbert donated $200 to the Hoops for the Homeless program for every 3-pointer he hit this season.

We love Gilbert around these foXnoMad parts because frankly, we could use more athletes like him. Not only does he make the game more fun with his blog, Gilbertology, and hibachi, but he practices in and around the street courts as he’s always done. Like little kids all over the world do and hope one day that they’ll make the NBA. He’s how those little kids would be if they made it; and that’s what makes him fun to watch.
